The
DCAT 21 is the latest model with new and advanced features representing
now the most sophisticated Dynamic Contact Angle Tensiometer on the
world market today. Besides the excellent software-controlled measurements
of dynamic contact angle, surface free energy, static and dynamic surface/interfacial
tension, liquid density, wetted length, sedimentation study, absorption
kinetics, etc, other options are available for such features as the
Non Magnetic version, the temperature control unit TV xx with a removable

The
DCAT 21 consists of the basic instrument with the following technical
equipment:
- The
contact angle of powders, single fibers and fiber bundles and the
adsorption behavior of liquids on wettable materials according to
the modified washburn method
- The
dynamic contact angle and the surface energy prismatic and cylindrical
samples according to the Wilhelmy method
- The
static surface and interfacial tension of liquids
- the
critical micelle formation concentration of surfactants (CMC) according
to the Wilhelmy plate method
- Lenard
frame method or the Du No? ring method with automatic ring correction
according to Huh & Mason, Zuidema & Waters and Harkins &
Jordan, as well as for fully automated reproducibility measurements
The
DCAT 21 consists of the basic instrument with the following technical
equipment:
- High-precision
electro-dynamically compensated weighing system with automatic calibrating
function
- Software-controlled
motorized height positioning of the sample vessel with variable speed
- Automatic
balance lock
- Integrated
measuring and control electronics with digital thermometer

Graphical display for weighing data, temperature and other measuring
statuses
- Serial
RS 232C interface with PC connecting cable
- Illuminated
sample chamber with connection for inert gas
- Pt100
temperature sensor for the installation in the temperature control
unit
- It
is prepared for the installation of a liquid temperature control unit
TV 50, TV 70 or TV 100 with integrated
- Magnetic
stirrer for mounting either of the sample vessels made of borosilicate
glass (with diameters 50,70 or 100 mm).
- The
32-bit NT based software SCA 200 developed for Windows 2000/XP
offers by various expansion steps. The analyses according to
